Inspired by my need for (and lack of) inner stillness in a very busy and overwhelming season. I set out to create a collection on a peace within that is unshakable regardless of circumstances.
This painting in particular is about remembering the magic of life and the human experience. In difficult seasons, in mundane seasons, in seasons of hustle, in seasons of change, in all seasons sunny or not.
The Poem
the sun gleams bright and bold
but what about the clouds?
they cast their calm up on the earth
that peace for which you search
so what if there are clouds?
their billows don’t just storm
sometimes they blanket sky to warm
and often when there’s clouds you learn
that even when the sun don’t shine
