The Inspiration
Inspired by my need for (and lack of) inner stillness in a very busy and overwhelming season. I set out to create a collection on a peace within that is unshakable regardless of circumstances.
This painting in particular is about rejecting anxiety and living in the identity of peace that Christ has spoken over us. Like swans who exude grace, peace, strength, and steadfast love everywhere they go because it is just who they are.

I saw them one day
and they seemed to say
fear
is not welcomed here
so I thought hard and long
that it wouldn’t be wrong
if we all chose to live
like a family of swans
