“and we danced” was born out of a very difficult day in the wake of a situation that I couldn’t see through. I was dealing with a kind of grief I had never felt before. I was just trying to get through one hour at a time. I went out into nature to get some relief but nothing seemed to stop my racing thoughts and pounding chest. I asked God to show up for me and to show Himself to me. Show me where He was in this. Show me His love. His safety and faithfulness. As I was lying on the ground listening to worship music, God showed me a beautiful picture of a meadow with two cliffs on each side that was filled with wildflowers. In that meadow, God and I were dancing. It was breathtaking, perfectly warm, and no one could touch us.

It was from that experience that I was inspired to paint a whimsical collection of meadows and wildflowers. Each piece is another picture of where God might be calling you to twirl, stretch out your arms and lean into His faithfulness.
